Music For Our Thriller

Once I had watched quite a few thrillers, I realised that most of the music were two similar styles. By this I mean, that they either included string instruments, pianos, basically orchestral instruments or they were quite heavy sort of music, for example, a lot of drums and bass sounds.

I thought that I would try and make some for our thriller film. Since the title of our thriller is 'Black' and our thriller is a silent thriller film, with not much action in it. I decided to make some music, which contained strings and piano. The action in the film builds up and at the end, the main character screams. This meant I needed to make the music build up as well.

I used a program called Cakewalk Music Creator 5. Here is what it looked like when I finished:

I used, a string section, a piano, fuzzy sound effect and a dripping pad synth sound.

  1. impressive research, its good that you focused on the music as we just found a track online. Look foward to hearing the music on your silent film :)
